On the south coast of Nova Scotia on the beautiful island of Heckman's. Just a few minutes drive from the historic UNESCO city of Lunenburg, with its colorful buildings and delicious fresh seafood you will not forget, artists, photographers and kayakers alike will love the undeniable natural beauty of Blue Rocks. Blue Rocks is still a working fishing village with blue slate rocks on the edge of the ocean and has been a popular destination since the 1940s.
Stay in OLD BARN and enjoy the tranquility. This barn has been renovated in this pleasant, warm and spacious 4 bedroom holiday home full of history and warmth. This charming place is loved by everyone who sets foot in the village.
The main level is light and airy with a main open-plan space, along with the master bedroom and full bath. The living room has a wood burning stove where you can enjoy your favorite drink and sit with a good book especially on long winter nights. Enjoy the food in the kitchen bar or have a drink with friends.
On the upper floor, which was originally the hayloft, there are 3 further bedrooms, a large open loft with exposed beams leading to a large upper deck for relaxing. We have a heat pump for additional heating and cooling in summer. Do not forget the garden environment, where you can barbecue in winter or summer, enjoy drinks and enjoy nature.
