This beautiful cottage is about an hour from Montreal, heritage house, dating from 1850, located near the village of Eastman and a few minutes from Magog, with lake access, rustic style, parking at the door and close to all services. At the Cottage l original, if you would like to have access to the spa, an extra C$20 will be applied per hour. The spa is located at our office, which is only a 30 second walk from the property. **Animals are accepted**

Summary: As mentioned in the listing, this is an ancestral home, so do not expect everything to be shiny and new. However, it has a lot of character and is very comfortable - including the bed. The yard is large and beautiful, and we enjoyed eating on the deck. The chalet is in a very quiet area, and it is only 3 km to Eastman, where you can find a grocery store and a couple restaurants and pubs. Pascale lives across the street, so he is always around if you need something. Access to the water is a 2-3 minute walk, but it is an inlet, so the water is shallow and not super inviting for swimming. This is, however, a great area for cycling. The wifi was hit or miss. (It seemed better in the mornings.)The exterior of the chalet could use some upkeep, but overall, I would return here, especially since dogs are accepted. 😊
