The Space:
Come, explore the beauty and charm of Virginia's Northern Neck from this classic one level cottage on the Corrotoman River.
Launch complimentary kayaks from our dock and paddle around the creek. Throw some crab pots in the water and catch dinner. You can cook them up in our outdoor crab pot! Or just relax in a lounger on the dock or the hammock on the bluff and watch the wildlife. Either way, it's waterfront living at its best.
The charm of this cottage is enhanced by its proximity to the Merry Point Ferry, a quaint 6 passenger car ferry ioperation since 1847, that shuttles between Merry Point and Ottoman Point. Take it over to Belle Isle State Park, with seven miles of shoreline on the Rappahannock River and access to Mulberry and Deep Creeks. Geocache, bike tours, and kayak and canoe rentals at the Park.
Other fun Northern Neck activities include visits to the Rappahannock Art League in nearby Kilmarnock and the Allure Art Center in White Stone, local farmers' markets, browsing small shops, and grabbing some house made donuts at Chesapeake Donut Shop.
For rainy days, head over to Compass Entertainment in Irvington. This amusement center has indoor games, putt-putt, a climbing wall, a movie theater, a bar, and a restaurant. Kids of all ages love it!
You may also enjoy exploring the Northern Neck and its many designated "Trails," such as the Oyster Trail, the Wine Trail, the Water Trail, the Artisan Trail and, not to be outdone, the Coastal Waterfowl Trail.

Guest Access:
Guest will have access to the entire home and property, including the dock during their stay.
Exception is the two boat slips and boats. Boats must be put in elsewhere (check out Yankee Point Marina close by) but may tie up at the end of the dock. 2-3 foot draft. There is no launch available to guests here.

Virginia's Northern Neck is a peninsula surrounded by unique and beautiful marshes, creeks, the Potomac and Rappahannock Rivers, and the Chesapeake Bay. You'll find many opportunities to explore all the nooks and crannies and get out on the water.
