This popular modern studio for two (and maybe a baby/toddler) is located in Golden Valley, NC and is an easy 65 mile ride from Charlotte. It's close to Asheville (50 mi), Morganton (25 mi), the Tryon International Equestrian Center, hiking and skiing. There is also Camp Jellystone Resort close by for water activities. The cabin has all the appliances and excellent comfortable furnishings you need for a restful weekend. The views from inside and the deck are breathtaking year round; but especially in the Fall and Winter; your view is of the entire South Mountain State Park range. This creates a beautiful backdrop your romantic getaway.
The kitchen is fully stocked with Crate and Barrel dishes, cookware & casseroles and a microwave. There is an excellent Queen size Murphy bed with a 2 inch gel mattress topper, and built in LED reading lights. There are two Hunter ceiling fans, gas logs, flat screen TV and an additional heater/AC wall unit. We have 5G WiFi for entertainment. The wood is all heart of pine and original barn board.
The Studio/cabin is light and airy all from natural light. The window over the sink has a crank out window to enjoy fresh mountain breezes. All of the windows have high end pull down cellular shades for a good night's rest. On a clear night the Milky Way can be seen without a telescope. If you have one, bring it along to increase your star gazing enjoyment. The large deck overlooks the property which includes another rental home for larger parties that sleeps 8 also listed on VRBO..
For your next private getaway, consider us! We draw hikers, nature lovers and adventure seeking individuals. Water tubing on the first Broad River is two miles away at Grand-view Campground. But nothings wrong with a lazy day in bed reading a book from our library! There is also a nice gazebo about 60 feet from the front door for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine.
