Summary: The hotel itself was good. My room was great. I had a room with a fireplace and they provided a log- so that was really nice. I especially chose this hotel because of the jacuzzi- so I was really looking forward to that. The jacuzzi and pool area were really nice. The problem arose when a group of children came to the pool area. Apparently every weekend, this hotel takes in hockey groups- which they don’t mention anywhere before booking. Once I checked in for the room, then they sent me an email with this message: “Please note that the hotel occupancy during the weekends is mainly from groups and hockey teams. It means noisier and more clients using our facilities. So, complaints are not accepted.” So the jacuzzi area, which has a sign stating that it’s a quiet area outside, was loud- very loud, with a bunch of kids playing and yelling. No adults around and I wasn’t allowed to complain since they said so “after” I booked. That should be mentioned before people book- no after. Not everyone is interested in hearing screaming children. I have a child too- I took a weekend getaway for myself and expected to get a bit of peace and quiet for a day. So that was an expected disappointment.
