Words cannot describe the awesome sensation you will feel upon entering Casa Cima. Magnificent views surround you from every window. Casa Cima (House on the Top) is located on a piñon covered ridge providing 360 degree views.
Spend hours relaxing on the deep covered portal with panoramic views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. The front porch with seating and the sunroom located off the master suite, have views of the Sangre and Sandia mountains, as well as distant Jemez mountain vistas with perfect sunsets and city lights. The house is a short stroll (.7 miles) down a quiet dirt road through town to the Plaza and a short walk to the Fort Marcy recreation complex.
The main part of the house is open concept, great for entertaining. The living room has a cozy wood-burning Kiva fireplace and enclosed TV cabinet (with SmartTV)….and, of course, VIEWS. The dining table comfortably seats six.
If you like to cook, the custom chef’s kitchen will be a delight. Gorgeous views from the kitchen window, a gas stove and new appliances are just part of the picture. The kitchen is fully-equipped. There is also a bar where you can eat a quick breakfast or guests can watch as you create that unforgettable meal.
On the main level there are two additional bedrooms (one with queen and one with a pull-out day bed providing two twin beds). There is a full hall bath shared by the two bedrooms. In addition, there is a separate library/office, a perfect place for working (if you HAVE to)! Doors separate this wing for additional privacy. The library also has a separate exit to the outside with table and seating facing the Sangres.
The master suite is eight steps up (more views from here) with king bed, another TV, separate sitting area, walk-in closet, bathroom with double sinks and stone walk-in rain shower, and large all-season sunroom with 180 degree views.
The house is pueblo style with Saltillo tiles and hardwood flooring and decorated with comfortable Santa Fe furniture and decor. The art and books in the house are mostly personal and have been collected over the years. The property is fully enclosed by a coyote fence for privacy. Sorry, no pets allowed.
The large portal has spectacular close views of the Sangre de Cristos including a view of the ski area. There is outside dining for six, seating at a bar on the perimeter, built in and movable cushioned benches, gas grill and built-in table with pass-through window from kitchen….a great place to spend your time at most any time of the year.
Beyond the beautiful surroundings and close in location, amenities include, 2 TVs with cable and streaming, fast WIFI, and a Google home system for music, news and general information. There is a full laundry room and 2-car garage. This home is air conditioned with a new 4-zone ductless mini-split system for your comfort.
