Summary: We stay at Hotel Faubourg Montreal every time we visit Montreal and Laval. The hotel's location is within walking distance of Place de Arts, which is really cool with lots of shops, activities, restaurants, and is a central hub to everything. We love that the parking garage is under the hotel and safe. Yes, the hotel is a little dated, but it is CLEAN, the beds are super comfortable, it's quiet, the rooms are big, and the shower water is hot. Clean towels, hand soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided. The kitchen is convenient with a fridge, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker. There is no stove or dishes/utensils; you can request them (not the stove), and they will have you pick up some compostable dishes/utensils from the front desk. All cleaning staff are helpful and friendly. The breakfast included is nothing fancy, just easy. Eggs, hashbrowns, sausage, cereal, bagels, toast, cereals, fruit, boiled eggs, yogurt, beans (must be a Canadian staple), fresh coffee, etc. For the location and price, it's a great place to rest your head after exploring what Montreal has to offer. We have NEVER had a problem with anything or anyone at Hotel Faubourg. Perfect place to stay if you are catching a concert, a show, attending a festival, or just sightseeing. The area around the hotel is a bit run-down, but you are in the middle of a major city, so it's expected. We have never had any issues with the few homeless in the area.
