This custom built home is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the surrounding area. Whether you enjoy cycling, hiking, wine tasting, or checking out local cafes and farm stands, this is the perfect home base. This very spacious home is conveniently located between Victoria and Sidney.
The Home
This modern , beautifully designed 3,000 sq ft home is located just 10 minutes from the airport and Sidney, 15 minutes to the BC Ferries and 25 minutes to downtown Victoria. It features 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms with 2 additional sleeping areas (one in office and one in downstairs ground floor basement/rec room). Sleeps 9 comfortably.
In the house you will find a hotel-style master bedroom with space for reading and a farm-valley view. The master ensuite is the perfect place to relax with spa-like features such as a dimmer chandelier above the soaker tub, heated tile floors and a walk in shower with rain shower head. Both full bathrooms have separate double sinks and heated tile floors. The second bedroom upstairs features a bunk bed (queen and single) and a queen bed in the third bedroom.
The main floor features 20 ft ceilings, a gas fireplace, tv with fire stick, wifi, board games, and full laundry facilities/mud room with heated tile floors. The kitchen is stocked with kitchen equipment, basic spices and condiments, stainless appliances and a gas stove. Enjoy your meals at the handmade dining table (seats 10) and extra seating for 4 at the island.
There is also a separate office with a computer and printer access. The office has a sofa bed which sleeps 1 to 2 (small).
Downstairs from the main floor on the walk out basement level, you will find a rec room with an additional trundle/day bed (sleeps 2) and kids toys including Lego and a play kitchen.
Outside there is a large back yard with outdoor dining, a fire table under a gazebo, a few yard games, a 5 person hot tub and a Viking BBQ and burner- perfect for outdoor cooking.
There is plenty of parking available. The driveway can fit 2-4 cars and there is street parking just out front that can easily fit an additional car.
The Area
Located steps away from a very popular cafe/bakery with the most delicious food and coffee. We love the French toast and chai lattes for brunch. A play ground for the kids is just four minute walk away with basketball nets. The home is a short 10 minute walk to mini golf, friendly horses and goats and a farm stand (summer hours). It is close (10 minute walk) to a gym and popular brewery. We are less than a 5 minute drive to the beautiful Island View beach, grocery stores and much more. 10 minute drive to The Butchart Gardens, Butterfly Gardens, Elk lake trails and several wineries.
